I did not have high expectations, since the Glock 17 is a rather large frame weapon. This holster has gone above and beyond my expectations. The leather is between the hard slide of the gun and your body keeping it from "poking" you. It only took about an hour for the leather to conform to my body. I am able to successfully and comfortably conceal it. I have been wearing this holster for approximately 8 months now and I wear it everywhere I go. I am very pleased with the level of comfort and the level of concealment this holster provides. I would highly recommend this holster for anyone looking to be able to CCW everyday comfortably....I wear it in the 5'clock position and this holster keeps the gun pressed firmly against my body so that it does not imprint much. I usually wear a shirt under the holster and a button down over everything... The DeSantis Intruder Holster fits my needs perfectly and provides the concealment needed for CCW. I like the ability to adjust the depth and cant. Got this as an alternative to some other more highly priced &popular hybrid holsters. Out of the box it sat very high above the waist. Noticeably so. B/c I'm handy I created new holes for the belt clips adjusting cant & height to make it more bearable but it's overall thickness makes it difficult to conceal my Glock 26. It does distribute weight well but it's a pain in the a** to get on/off. Not very convenient when running out on errands. Also, b/c I live in a colder climate the combat cut leaves part of my grip/slide against my skin. Wow, that's cold!
